The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report the distribution of 77 million doses of seasonal flu vaccine as of early October 2009 with additional doses expected throughout the fall and winter.

Seasonal influenza typically peaks in January and February. Early data from research firm SDI Health, LLC shows that influenza administration in physician offices as of Sept. 26 is currently up 305% compared to the same time frame last year.
